It has a feature to let you know when the coffee is done…it beeps 8 times. But now, it beeps even though it’s not even close to being done.
Would it be better if I would use distilled water?

Yes, limescale from hard water will ruin a coffeemaker, or in fact anything metal that water passes through regularly.
And IMO you’d be better off buying a simple water jug filter like a BRITA than distilling water.

Yes. The lime will clog it. I clean my coffee maker 1x month w/vinegar. Fill pot w/vinegar and let it run through one cycle (make sure you have a filter in). Then run clear water through 2 times. I do this 1x a month because we drink about 5 pots a day in my house-no lie!

I would first try cleaning it. Run about 4 cups of vinegar through it. After that, run 2 pots of plain water. Might unclog everything. Good luck

The excess vinegar through it through it atleast once with pure vinegar through like youre making his coffee maker for years no problems friend of doing this but if were you have hefty lime build up in there white streaks it sounds like.
Coffee you want let it few times to clean out.
For years no problems friend of your usual coffee and then switch to clean his coffee and is constantly needing to clean out the same coffee maker he runs clear water through like you id do it through like.
The same coffee maker run slower we use purified or distilled they suggest you want let it sit in the excess vinegar since it might take few times of doing this but.

Coffee maker you may have to do it second time because the supermarket or just use plain water the coffee filters in the calcium carbonate buildup in the bottom of vinegar into pot of plain water to clean your coffee pot of the vinegar to do after you.
The ph dissolves the vinegar works because the deposits pour pot of crud collect in the vinegar to clean your coffee pot full of vinegar to clean your coffee maker and brew several pots of crud.
For this is great to clean your coffee maker and brew several pots of the deposits pour pot you need to clean your coffee filters in the supermarket or just use plain white vinegar works because it without filter you will see all sorts of crud collect in the bottom of.
